About us

Bringing Nigeria's health data together — safely

We believe better care and stronger public health start with information that can move securely, with consent, between the places that need it.

Our mission

Across Nigeria, vital health information sits locked in systems that can't talk to each other. A patient's history doesn't follow them; outbreaks are seen late; planning runs on incomplete data. NHCIP exists to close that gap — to be the trusted, consented layer that lets health data move between facilities and become national insight, without asking anyone to abandon the tools they already use.

We build for the realities of Nigerian healthcare: uneven connectivity, many kinds of organisation, and an absolute duty to protect patient privacy. That means open standards, consent at the centre, and accountability in every action.

What we stand for

Our principles

Privacy is non-negotiable

Consent and lawful purpose come first. We align to the NDPR and de-identify data before it's ever aggregated.

Open, not walled

We use open standards so facilities keep their freedom to choose — NHCIP connects, it doesn't lock in.

Built for everyone

From a single rural clinic to a national insurer, the platform is designed to meet organisations where they are.

Who we work with

Part of the national picture

NHCIP does not replace existing national systems — it complements them. Verified, consented data is integrated with DHIS2/NHMIS, MSDAT and the Health Facility Registry (HFR), and transformed into aggregated, de-identified reporting for government use.
